# How to keep a workout streak past week two

Practical ways to keep a workout habit going: make the minimum tiny, plan rest on purpose, and decide in advance what happens when you miss a day.

Most people don't quit because workouts are hard. They quit because one missed Tuesday turns into a missed week, and starting again feels like failing twice. A streak helps when it is built to survive a bad day.

## 1. Make the minimum embarrassingly small

Decide what the smallest workout that still counts is. Five minutes is enough to count. On a good day you'll do more; on a bad day the small version keeps the chain alive, and that is the whole point.

## 2. Tie it to something you already do

"After I make coffee" works better than "sometime today". Pick a moment that already happens every day and put the workout right after it.

## 3. Plan rest on purpose

Rest days are part of training, not a break in it. Decide which days are rest days before the week starts, so resting is keeping the plan rather than breaking it.

## 4. Decide now what happens when you miss

You will miss a day. Choose the rule in advance: the next day you do the five-minute version, no catching up, no double sessions. A missed day only ends a habit when it ends the plan.

## 5. Make it a little social, or a little silly

Accountability works even when it is gentle. A friend who asks, a note on the fridge, or a small character who is waiting for you all do the same job: someone notices.

## 6. Watch something grow

Counting days is motivating for a while. Seeing something change, like a number of workouts, a longer hold or a companion that grows up, keeps it interesting after the novelty wears off.

## How FitStreak builds this in

- Workouts start at 5 minutes, and every one counts.
- Your companion sends reminders in its own voice when the streak needs you.
- Rest Days, free, keep a day off after a good week from costing you the streak. Premium adds a weekly streak freeze and planned days off.
- If a streak does end, your companion is still there: "A streak can start again whenever you feel ready."
